Joining the Family

Church Membership

Membership at IBCA is a commitment to live out the Christian life together — under the Word, alongside a family of believers, and for the sake of the gospel in Armenia.

Who May Become a Member?

Any person may become a member of IBCA if they have:

  • Received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life
  • Demonstrated in their manner of life the presence of Christ
  • Demonstrated their obedience to Christ in baptism
  • Agreed with the Statement of Faith
  • Agreed to be governed by the constitution and by-laws of this church

Regarding baptism, the church does not require a specific mode or timing of baptism to consider the person as having fulfilled this requirement.

The Application Process

Prospective members will be asked to share:

  • Their name and contact information (WhatsApp, email, telephone)
  • A brief testimony of how they received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • How they are currently demonstrating the presence of Christ in daily life
  • Whether and when they were baptized
  • Their agreement with the IBCA Statement of Faith
  • Their willingness to be governed by the constitution and by-laws

What Happens Next

An elder will contact you to discuss your application. You will then be invited to the next Discovery Class, where the elders will explain in detail the nature and vision of IBCA — focusing in particular on the roles of members. Following that, the elders will decide on your membership.
